Snickers Pie Cups – finger food perfection
Friends! In the middle of fall baking, we need another super easy recipe for cozy weekends where it is rainy and chilly outside. We need it, don’t we? But however the weather is, we are always in need for super easy baking recipes like this.
Do you notice a change in your cravings the last couple of days? Are you already in fall mood? I definitely noticed a change in my cravings for about the last two weeks. I’m totally stupid about pumpkin, chocolate, bacon. Not at the same time, of course. My body tells me that it needs soul feeding food, something that is perfect for lazy nights or weekends where I lay around and watch another Netflix marathon.
Nothing is better than finger food sized snacks and sweets for such situations. This is the moment where these Snickers Pie Cups come in. You grab one (or two, three, whatever) Snickers Pie Cup(s) and take a few bites and they are gone. You don’t need to cut a pie or warm up a bun. You don’t even need a fork, or spoon to eat these Snickers Pie Cups. Perfect finger food.
Buttery pie crust filled up with caramels, salted peanuts, peanut butter and chocolate
The buttery and flaky pie crust comes together in a food processor in just 2 minutes. Then transfer the pie crumbs to a 12 cup muffin pan. Press them equally into the cups and transfer to the freezer as long as the oven preheats and you are done with the other steps.
I’m a huge fan of snickers. I mean, who’s not? Nuts, caramel, chocolate. Nothing else required to make us happy. So I was inspired to bake something that comes very close to the real thing. I decided to fill the Snickers Pie Cups with wrapped caramels, salted peanuts, peanut butter, and chocolate. It tastes exactly like Snickers just in a flaky pie crust. Tastes awesome.
I added 1 tbsp peanut butter to the melted chocolate that it’s softer and not so firm. Because it would be inconvenient to eat when you bite into a hard chocolate shell on top and everything underneath would crack.

- 1/2 cup cold butter (113g)
- 1 1/4 cups flour (150g)
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp water
- 24 wrapped caramels
- 6 tbsp salted peanuts
- 3/4 cup chocolate (4.6oz / 130g)
- 7 tbsp peanut butter
Place butter, flour, sugar, and salt in a food processor and pulse about 5-6 times until it has a coarse structure and large butter pieces are still visible. Add 1 tbsp water and pulse one time. Add the second tbsp and pulse again 2 times. Divide crumbs equally and transfer them to a 12 cup muffin pan. Press pie crumbs evenly with your fingers into the cups. Freeze until the oven is preheated for about 10 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F / 175°C.
Chop caramels roughly. I didn't chop the peanuts because I love to have bigger pieces, but you can chop them if desired. Remove muffin pan from freezer and fill caramels and peanuts into the pie cups evenly. Bake for about 20 minutes until pie crust is baked through. Remove from oven and set aside.
Melt chocolate in microwave until completely melted for about 2 minutes. Stir every 20 seconds to help avoid seizing. Stir in 1 tbsp peanut butter until just combined.
Place 1/2 tbsp peanut butter on top of every pie cup. Cover with chocolate and let cool to room temperature. Sprinkle with chopped Snickers chunks if desired. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
