How to Make Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

Sinking your teeth into chewy peanut butter cookies is pure joy! Loaded with chocolate, these goodies are a crowd-pleaser. Learn my best tips for making the best peanut butter cookies ever!

1. Cream butter and sugar.

Tip: European-style butter with a fat content of 82% makes for extra soft and delicious cookies.

2. Add egg, vanilla and peanut butter.

Tip: Creamy peanut butter is best for cookie dough. I don't recommend using homemade peanut butter, as this results in dry and crumbly cookies.

3. Add dry ingredients and add-ins.

Tip: If you like to add mix-ins, I recommend a combination of chopped chocolate bars and peanut butter chips.

4. Chill the dough before baking.

Tip: Chilling makes for a better texture and balanced taste. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour and up to 2 days.

5. Bake.

Tip: Don't bake the cookies too long or they will dry out. You'll know when they're done when you see tiny cracks all over the surface.

Serve with milk and enjoy.  These are the perfect cookies for any peanut butter lover. Happy baking!
