Flour Sugar Instant yeast Cold milk Unsalted butter Salt Water Egg Egg yolk

Ingredients

Mix flour, sugar, yeast, cold milk, unsalted butter, and salt in a large bowl. Slowly add water until the dough starts to come together.

1

Create a rectangular shape with your dough, then cover it with plastic wrap and let it rest in the fridge overnight.

2

Make the butter block by rolling chilled butter into a rectangular shape. Cover it with plastic wrap and freeze it together with your dough for 20 minutes.

3

Encase your butter inside the dough. Fold it in and roll the dough. Repeat these steps to create multiple layers. Let the rolled dough rest in between folding.

4

Roll the dough one last time to create a dough sheet that's 0.15" thick. Then, cut the dough into triangles.

5

Roll the dough triangles into crescent-shaped croissants. Press the tip to seal the end.

6

Brush your croissants with egg wash and let them rise. Meanwhile, preheat your oven to 375°F.

7

Once your croissants have risen, they are ready to bake! Bake them for 16-20 minutes or until they have a perfect golden brown color.

8

Let your croissants cool and serve with drizzled chocolate!
