  • Spoon or melon baller
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring cups/spoons
  • Oven mitts
  • Serving dish
  • Whisk or spoon for stirring
  • Knife
  • Cutting board
  • Silicone spatula

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Cut apples in half vertically and use a spoon or melon baller to remove the core and seeds. Set aside.
  • In a mixing bowl, stir together the rolled oats, walnuts, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Drizzle the melted butter and maple syrup over the oat mixture and stir until the mixture is crumbly and well coated.
  • Spoon the oat mixture into the hollow center of each apple, packing it down slightly.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Once preheated, place the apples carefully inside and cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the filling is golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove the apples from the air fryer and allow them to cool for a minute or two. Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream, if desired.
