How to Cook Air Fryer Hamburgers (Fresh and Frozen)

Air fryer hamburgers are a great way to get that burger fix without heating up your kitchen. Whether you're cooking from fresh or frozen, I'll show you how to make air-fried burgers in the comfort of your own home.

Ingredients

  • oil for the air fryer basket
  • 4 hamburger patties (fresh or frozen)
  • 4 slices cheese (optional)
  • 4 burger buns

Toppings to your taste

  • tomato, lettuce, onions, pickles, ketchup, mayo, etc.

Instructions

Fresh patties

  • Prepare the hamburgers your favorite way and preheat the air fryer to 390°F (199°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil to avoid sticking.
  • Arrange the patties in the air fryer basket and cook for 3-6 minutes to your preferred doneness, flipping halfway through. Add cheese at the last minute if desired.*
  • Remove the patties from the air fryer and toast the burger buns for 1 minute until hot and crispy.
  • Serve with your favorite toppings and enjoy.

Frozen patties

  • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (177°C). Lightly spray the air fryer basket with oil to avoid sticking.
  • Place the frozen patties in the air fryer basket and cook for 8-15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Add cheese at the last minute if desired.*
  • Remove the patties, toast the buns until hot and crispy, serve with your favorite toppings, and enjoy.

Notes

Arrange the patties in the air fryer basket without overlapping, leaving enough space between them to allow air to circulate.

* If your air fryer has a tendency to blow the cheese off the patties, cook the patties first, turn the air fryer off, add the cheese, and let it melt for 1 minute.
