Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped ground turkey, finely chopped onion, dried garlic, dried marjoram, Worcestershire sauce, and Sriracha chili sauce.
  • Add black pepper and salt to taste. Thoroughly mix the patty mixture for about five minutes and then let it rest for at least 20 minutes.
  • Shape the patties. If available, use a burger patty shaping tool. Otherwise, shape the patties by hand. Place them on parchment paper.
  • Note: Keep in mind that the patties will shrink slightly during cooking, so make them slightly larger than the width of the burger buns.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 360°F/180°C. Once the air fryer is heated, place the patties on the bottom of the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 15 minutes, flipping the patties halfway through.
  • Five minutes before the cooking time ends, you can place the bottom part of the burger buns on the bottom of the basket to lightly toast them.
  • Two minutes before the cooking time ends, you can place sliced cheese on top of the patties to allow it to melt.
  • After 15 minutes, your delicious and flavorful turkey burger patties are ready. Transfer them to a separate plate.
  • Now you can assemble the burger. My personal favorite is placing lettuce leaves on the bottom part of the bun, followed by a patty with melted cheese.
  • Add tomato and red onion. Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the top part of the bun. Your turkey burger is now ready to be served!
