Hello, I’m Val!
As a father, husband, and aspiring chef, I've cherished the art of cooking since my childhood. My mother and grandmother, both incredible cooks, nurtured my passion and taught me everything I know.
Five years ago, I decided to transform this lifelong love for cooking into a thriving business, Family Chef—a catering and meal delivery venture.
My culinary inspirations span Italian, Spanish, American, Georgian, and Eastern European cuisines. I find great joy in delving into the history of dishes, recreating them authentically, and occasionally adding my own personal touch.
One of my favorite cooking quotes comes from the film Burnt, where Bradley Cooper's character expresses his philosophy: "It was God who created oysters and apples. And you can't improve recipes like that. But it is our job to try."

My business often demands flexibility and quick decision-making. That's one of the reasons I've become fond of the air fryer, which offers speed and convenience. I also love using the air fryer to create delicious meals for my family and guests.
Here on Also The Crumbs, Please, I'm thrilled to share my recipes with you, and I hope you enjoy cooking them as much as I enjoyed crafting them.
Over the years, I've also conducted countless recipe experiments, substituting ingredients to cater to clients' needs or simply replacing missing ingredients. I'll be sharing these ingenious ingredient substitutions on Also The Crumbs, Please, so you can make the most of your culinary adventures.
I sincerely hope you find my content valuable and insightful. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to leave them in the comments section or send us an email. I'll be more than happy to provide answers and guidance!
