Hi! My name is Geraldine, and I am a food photographer and recipe developer.
I grew up in Mauritius. At the age of 23, I moved to Austria, where I started cooking for myself. However, it was when I turned 28 that I truly became passionate about combining ingredients while keeping dishes simple, delicious, and healthy. Before that, I worked as a visual merchandiser, which helped me build a strong sense of styling - something I now apply to food. I also love creating colorful dishes and desert recipes.
At the age of 30, I moved back to Mauritius and opened a restaurant as I wanted to show that healthy food can still be full of flavor. I taught myself how to develop recipes and photograph them. Running and cooking in a restaurant was a great adventure until COVID put an end to it, unfortunately.
As a contributor to Also The Crumbs Please, my goal is to make sure you find recipes that are easy, fun and enjoyable to recreate. I am inspired by traditional dishes and love transforming them in a way that encourages readers at home. What I love most about what I do is seeing how simple ingredients can be transformed into something beautiful and delicious. Every recipe I publish is tasted, reviewed, and approved by my family and friends.
