I've used a toaster oven for so long that it took me a while to see the beauty of air fryers. I admit the familiarity of a countertop convection oven was hard to let go of, but I'm glad I did.
Nevertheless, I still revisit my old oven once in a while. But when I discovered about the air fryer oven from Emeril, I immediately knew I had to test it out.
Well, that little journey gave birth to this article. Here's my Emeril Air Fryer review and why it deserves a second look.

Overview of the Emeril Air Fryer
The Emeril Lagasse Power 360 looks just like a typical oven. From its shape to construction to overall appeal, it's hard to imagine you can air fry with it.
It's 20 inches long, 10 inches tall, and 15 inches wide, with a total weight of 20 lbs. I know. These dimensions (and weight) are what you'd expect from a traditional oven.
The stainless steel exterior certainly doesn't help make its case that it's an air fryer. Be that as it may, I quickly abandoned this thought after getting a taste of what it offers.

In-Depth Review
Performance and Food Taste
I've used this air fryer to prepare just about everything from French fries to rotisserie chicken, and I have to say, I'm impressed.
Emeril was right to call it the Power Air Fryer 360 because it is indeed powerful. It heats up fairly quickly and cooks my favorite recipes evenly (and fast!).
However, this air frying efficiency comes at a price. Whenever I use the air fryer function, I hear a loud whirring noise from the back of the device, which I attribute to the fans.
Nonetheless, knowing that the circulating hot air cooks my food instead of the unhealthy oil of a deep fryer assures me that the noise is a fair tradeoff for living (or eating) healthier.

Design and Features
Overall appearance and construction
Most air fryers I've reviewed on this website include one heating element. Every time I encounter a model that has two, I make it a point to highlight this standout feature.
Well, the Emeril Lagasse Power 360 features five heating elements that cook your food from all sides. That's like having a commercial-grade convection oven right in your kitchen.
However, I have to point out that a 930-cubic-inch air fryer oven deserves a more formidable power source than a 1500-watt engine.
Still, its 12 cooking functions guarantee that I have everything I need for any recipe I want.
Size and layout
One of the things I love about air fryers is that they're versatile but don't take too much counter space. Unfortunately, we just can't have it on this model.
The Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer is huge. With 930 cubic inches of interior space, you get the equivalent of a 16-quart air fryer.
It's big enough to feed ten people or fit an entire chicken, and yes, the rotisserie spit comes with the package.
Ease of use
The Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer includes a relatively big LCD screen that displays the time and temperature (below it are two knobs that control each setting).
I like that they used knobs instead of buttons, so I don't have to repeatedly tap on the controls to get the appropriate time and temperature for my recipe; I just have to conveniently turn the dials.
It also comes with a built-in memory that remembers your last settings. So, if you regularly cook your favorite recipe, it will automatically set the time and temperature for you.
However, its oven-type door is a double-edged sword. It gives you easy access to your food but also makes it challenging to clean the air fryer oven's interior.
You may want to use special air fryer oven pans the next time you cook for easier cleanup.
Additional features
Aside from the rotisserie spit I've mentioned above, the Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer also comes with a baking pan, a drip tray, a pizza rack, and a crisper tray.
Unfortunately, it doesn't include the traditional air fryer basket since it's closer to an oven than an air fryer. Ergo, you might have to make minor adjustments when following an air fryer recipe.
But unlike most air fryers, I love how the Emeril Lagasse Power allows you to closely monitor your food with its interior light.
Price and Value
As Spiderman once said, "With great power comes great responsibility." In this case, great power comes with a considerable price tag.
It's more expensive than the average air fryer. However, I'd say it's worth the price with all the things you'd be getting from it.
It's one of the most versatile and efficient air fryer ovens I've seen recently, and I wouldn't think twice about having one in my kitchen, regardless of the cost.
How to Clean
Here comes the tricky part. Cleaning the Emeril Lagasse Power Air Fryer 360 isn't easy. The accessories do not include a nonstick coating and are not dishwasher-safe.
You'd have to clean them by hand with dishwashing liquid and a soft sponge. It also takes around 20 minutes for the unit to cool down, giving food residues enough time to dry and stick to the accessories.
Using liners on the drip tray or other accessories may help, but the interior walls will need a regular wipe-down, preferably after every use.

Alternatives
If the Emeril Air Fryer Oven is not what you're looking for, you don't have to look very far to find an alternative. I've prepared three of them for you.
Instant Vortex Plus XL Dual Basket Air Fryer
The Instant Vortex Plus XL does not include features from a convection or toaster oven. It's an air fryer, but unlike most models, it can cook big batches of food.
It features two 4-quart baskets, giving it a total cooking capacity of eight quarts. Its SyncCook and SyncFinish features allow you to modify the settings in each basket or use the same time and temperature.
The Ninja Foodi 2 Basket Air Fryer is similar to this alternative.
Kalorik MAXX Countertop Air Fryer Oven
If you need a bigger device than the Emeril Air Fryer, I introduce you to the Kalorik MAXX Countertop Air Fryer Oven. It has both the functionalities of an air fryer and a toaster oven.
It has a 26-quart capacity, 21 presets, comes with 15 accessories, and a recipe book. It's only 15.5 inches long, so it doesn't take as much surface area as the Emeril Air Fryer (although it's quite taller at 13.5 inches).
Cuisinart TOA-26 Compact Air Fryer Oven
If you like the idea of a toaster oven that allows you to air fry but don't have enough countertop space, the Cuisinart TOA-26 Compact Air Fryer Oven takes less surface footprint than the Emeril Air Fryer.
It's powered by a 1700-watt engine and can fit up to 2.5 pounds of food. It also comes with three accessories: an oven rack, a drip pan, and a basket.
Wrapping Up
There you have it. I hope this Emeril Air Fryer review gave you valuable insights into the potential of this air fryer oven combo.
